    Who Is ECWS?

Eastern Cape Water Solutions is not a tank reseller. We are a full-service water engineering and solutions provider headquartered in Port Elizabeth, serving the entire Eastern Cape region of South Africa.

Our mission is simple: guarantee water security for homes, farms, and businesses in a region where drought, aging municipal infrastructure, and population growth have made reliable water supply a daily concern. We partner with industry leaders like Videx Tanks and BagitSA to deliver world-class products, and we back them with local expertise in consultation, design, installation, and maintenance.

Whether you need a 500-litre domestic bladder or a 10-million-litre sectional steel tank for a mining operation, ECWS engineers the right solution for your site. See our water bladder guide for a deep dive on flexible storage.

    02

    Sectional Steel Water Tanks

Hot-dip galvanised sectional steel tank panels being assembled on a South African site

For large-capacity, permanent water storage, sectional steel tanks are the gold standard. We partner with Videx Tanks, a premier South African manufacturer, to deliver tanks that meet ISO 9001:2015 certified quality and SANS-compliant manufacturing standards.

    How they work

Videx's modular, hot-dip galvanised steel panels (to SANS 121 standards) are assembled on-site to create a tank of virtually any size — from 10,000 litres to over 10 million litres. The modular design means no crane is needed to lift a pre-built tank over buildings. Panels are carried through standard doorways and bolted together on a prepared base.

    Best for

    • Mining operations requiring process water and fire suppression reserves
    • Industrial facilities needing ASIB-compliant fire suppression systems
    • Large commercial properties and shopping centres
    • Municipal water storage and treatment plants

Our service: ECWS handles the complete civil design, base construction, and on-site assembly. Every tank is tested for leaks and structural integrity before handover.

    03

    Cylindrical Steel Tanks

For applications where a cylindrical shape is preferred — whether for aesthetic, spatial, or hydraulic reasons — we supply and install large-capacity cylindrical steel tanks.

These tanks are manufactured to the same SANS and ISO standards as our sectional tanks and are ideal for manufacturing facilities, processing plants, and agricultural reservoirs where a traditional round tank profile works best.

    04

    PVC Dam & Pond Liners

Not every water storage problem needs a tank. Sometimes the solution is to seal what you already have. ECWS supplies durable PVC dam liners and pond liners for water containment across the Eastern Cape. Our liners are:

    UV-stabilised

Withstands years of direct sun exposure.

    Puncture-resistant

Reinforced base layers for rocky ground.

    Chemical-resistant

For agricultural runoff and treatment applications.

    Weldable on-site

Fits irregular dam shapes and existing earthworks.

Applications include farm dams, irrigation reservoirs, aquaculture ponds, wastewater containment, and decorative estate dams. We assess your existing excavation, measure precisely, and install the liner with minimal earthmoving disruption.

    05

    Biogas Digester Systems

Water and energy are inseparable in modern agriculture. ECWS supplies biogas digester systems that convert organic waste — animal manure, crop residue, food processing waste — into methane gas for heating, cooking, and electricity generation.

    🌱

    Digestate fertiliser

    Nutrient-rich, applied to fields

    A typical farm biogas system:

    • Reduces waste volume and odour
    • Produces renewable energy, cutting Eskom dependence
    • Generates digestate — a nutrient-rich fertiliser that outperforms raw manure
    • Pays back installation costs within 3–5 years for medium-to-large operations

Our team designs the digester size based on your waste stream volume, integrates it with your existing infrastructure, and trains your staff on operation and safety.

    Our Full-Service Process

Every ECWS project follows a proven five-phase process:

    1. 01

      Phase 1Consultation & Site Assessment

We visit your site (free for qualifying projects within the Eastern Cape), assess water usage patterns, site limitations, soil conditions, and future expansion plans. We bring samples, catalogues, and reference case studies.

    2. 02

      Phase 2System Design & Engineering

Our engineers produce a detailed system design including tank/bladder selection, platform or stand requirements, plumbing schematics, pump integration, and compliance documentation.

    3. 03

      Phase 3Procurement

We source components exclusively from certified manufacturers — Videx Tanks, BagitSA, and other specialist partners — ensuring every part carries a manufacturer's warranty.

    4. 04

      Phase 4Professional Installation

Our certified installation teams handle all civil work, plumbing, electrical integration, and commissioning. We do not subcontract critical work to unqualified crews.

    5. 05

      Phase 5Maintenance & Support

We offer ongoing maintenance plans to inspect liners, test tank integrity, service pumps, and recommend replacement schedules. A water storage system is a 15-year investment — we make sure it lasts.

    07

    ISO-Certified Quality You Can Trust

ECWS processes, installations, and project management are aligned with ISO-certified standards. This means:

Consistent quality management across every project
Documented safety procedures and risk assessments
Traceable materials and compliance with SANS specifications
A partner that can be audited, verified, and trusted

When you choose ECWS, you are not buying a product. You are buying a guarantee.
