Project Overview
Two ASIB-compliant cylindrical steel fire water tanks supplied and installed on a busy retail development, providing close to a million litres of emergency reserve.
The Challenge
A high-traffic retail centre required almost a million litres of fire water on site, installed around trading hours and tied into an existing sprinkler contractor's programme.
Our Solution
Two 476 kL cylindrical steel tanks were erected in sequence so the sprinkler installation could be pressure tested progressively rather than waiting for the full reserve.
Scope of Work
- Fire reserve sizing with the sprinkler contractor
- Manufacture and staged delivery of two 476 kL tanks
- Erection, levelling and leak testing
- Handover documentation for ASIB inspection
The Result
952 kL of fire water storage signed off for the development, with a phased programme that kept the centre trading throughout.
